We’re looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer – Platform Security Engineering for a world-renowned gaming company, where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of gaming security.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Security Engineering team, you'll join a collaborative and innovative culture, working to protect players as they engage in epic game universes. This role offers a dynamic, remote work environment and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the security and safety of a global gaming community. This is a fully remote 6 months of contract. The role is located in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-reliability security services that monitor player accounts, transactions, and in-game activity.
• Design and implement scalable APIs and protocols to support platform security needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security and fraud detection measures across the organization.
• Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) to deploy and maintain services for security systems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service availability and system performance.
• Analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot performance for large-scale distributed systems.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in building and maintaining high-reliability services.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java and a strong understanding of its intricacies.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and logical problem-solving.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with internal and external teams.
• Passion for security, gaming, and safeguarding player experiences.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with distributed systems development.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with tools like BigQuery, Splunk, or similar data analysis platforms.
• Strong database development skills (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, etc.).
• Knowledge of network and server security issues.
• Passion for gaming and understanding of game features.

• To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of the assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
