Job Description

As a Senior .NET Developer at Tamatem, you'll design, develop, and maintain .NET-based game applications using C#. Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement game features and mechanics. Write clean, efficient code, optimize for performance, and fix bugs. You'll work on backend services for mobile games, focusing on the MENA region. Responsibilities include ensuring game stability, staying current with industry trends, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with the QA team. This role requires expertise in ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC), C#, SQL, NoSQL databases, and message brokers. Experience with AWS and server deployment is essential.

Must have:

3+ years Senior .NET Dev experience
ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC) expertise
C# proficiency
SQL & NoSQL database experience
AWS & server deployment knowledge

Good to have:

Game engine experience (Unity, Unreal)
Mobile game development experience
Experience with chat features
Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ)

Description

As a .NET Developer at Tamatem: you will work on the development of backend services needed for our games. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our gaming applications and systems. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, artists, and other developers to deliver high-quality, engaging games that captivate our players in the MENA region.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based game applications using C#.
Collaborate with game designers, artists, and other developers to implement game features and mechanics.
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code to ensure a smooth gaming experience.
Optimize code for performance and responsiveness, especially for mobile platforms.
Identify and fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and improve game stability.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance our game development process.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality games.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior .Net Developer.
Proven experience with ASP .NET Core (Web API, MVC) with expertise in C#.
Solid understanding of game development principles and practices.
Experience with game engines and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.
Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (Mongo, Redis), and message brokers (RabbitMQ)
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and server deployment
Knowledge in Linux and Docker
General programming skills
Experience with mobile games/applications is a bonus
Experience with chats (text, voice) or other social features is a bonus
A passion for mobile gaming and a desire to create culturally relevant gaming experiences for the MENA region.
