THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team of seasoned, passionate and talented game developers at Next Level Games.

The engineer will work closely with the Game Director, Tech Director, Designers, Gameplay Team and Gameplay Animators to implement core gameplay mechanics and engine features.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years professional video game development experience
  • Excellent C++ skills
  • Excellent linear algebra skills
  • Good grasp of game design fundamentals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working well within team environment
  • Highly organized and self-motivated


YOU SET YOURSELF ABOVE WITH:

  • Experience with skeletal animation systems
  • Experience with real-time physics systems
  • Experience with game AI fundamentals
  • Experience working with external technical partners
  • Experience with technical team leadership and mentoring

The hiring range for this position is $ 100,000 - $ 140,000 CAD annually and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. This position is also eligible for the benefits including discretionary performance bonus program, health benefits, and generous time-off.
