Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Global - Remote

 

PlayStation Studios Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. This role will be responsible for day-to-day Financial Planning and Analysis for the Publishing/Marketing department.

This opportunity will have you work collaboratively with Publishing /Marketing budget holders performing financial analysis, drive improvement initiatives, bring a value perspective to the equation, and deliver budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts, financial reporting, and strategic/ad-hoc cost-savings opportunities.  You are not afraid to question current practices and seek business improvement(s) where possible. You face challenges with optimism and are always looking for ways to be helpful and improve the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with publishing team of departments to develop full understanding of their organization's priorities, resource and headcount needs, and partner with them to execute and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly financial review package to Operational teams and management, including commenting on variances to plan, forecast and prior year
  • Perform sensitivity, scenario and what-if analyses as well as analyzing the financial impact of changes in business
  • Develop proven understanding of regional accounting practices and ensuring timelines and results are met.
  • Facilitate month and quarter end close (accruals) and intercompany transactions.
  • Research, analyze and synthesize data from different sources into business information as advised and by self-identification of business information needs
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a financial environment with involvement in management reporting and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel (pivots, sumifs, vlookups etc).
  • Be versatile, working with large volumes of data.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop insights.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new processes and technologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong work ethic and confidentiality a must

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$127,000 - $190,600 USD
