The SEA Marketing Manager at Trek Bicycle is responsible for developing and executing global marketing strategies to achieve Trek SG/SEA objectives. This includes managing all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, aligning them with sales and strategic goals. The role involves leading a team, developing marketing plans, conducting market research, analyzing market conditions, managing budgets, and reporting results to senior management. The successful candidate will liaise with media, manage sponsorships, and travel for various events. They'll be a key decision-maker in the SG/SEA leadership group.

Trek SG/SEA is currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager.  This role is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining Trek’s Global marketing strategies to meet Trek SG/SEA’s own objectives. This includes effective management of all marketing, advertising and promotional activities. The Marketing Manager is a decision maker in the SG/SEA Leadership group and is ultimately responsible for the marketing budget at Trek SG/SEA.

Reports to the Country Manager, SG/SEA and to the APAC Director of Marketing.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Manage and integrate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities with Trek SG/SEA’s sales and strategic goals
  • Manage the Retail Marketing, Digital and Brand/Product team members
  • Develop a detailed marketing plan for Trek SG/SEA
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for Trek SG/SEA consumers and dealers existing and future products
  • Analysis of current market conditions, consumer’s demand, and competitor information
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing team plans and projects
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results to both the Trek SG/SEA General Manager and Trek APAC Marketing Director
  • Manage the marketing budget
  • Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
  • Liaison with media and advertising
  • Control and run sponsorship and ambassador programs as you see fit
  • Travel to global marketing meetings and partake in regular marketing meetings

What you will bring:

  • High performer with a willingness to roll up your sleeves, and lead the team from the front
  • A passion for bikes ideally, or more broadly sport, fitness, and/or health
  • A tertiary Marketing degree and/or 5+ years marketing experience across a variety of functions including strategy, digital, retail, events, advertising, sponsorship and/or other traditional channels
  • Customer-first in your approach, and have experience in understanding audiences and their journeys to purchase
  • Good communicator who can have a chat with just about anybody
  • Highly organized; you like to have your marketing calendar planned out months in advance so you’re not scrambling to meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel up to 6 weeks per year to support events, retail stores and the broader marketing team
  • Experience in managing a budget, and aligning the budget with key business objectives and initiatives
  • An inspirational leader, who can get the best out of their people.
