Hasbro is seeking an experienced sales leader to join our team in Australia as Sales Planning & Operations Manager

 

In this role, you will partner with the Country Manager as an individual contributor to manage the development and execution of our planning processes across sales forecasting, promotions planning, channel strategy, route to market strategy, new launch planning, and inventory planning. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background and posses the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.

 

This is a 12 month fixed-term contract position. 

 

As a Sales Planning & Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

Sales Planning:

  • Work closely with Account Managers and the Brand team to build, align, and track the sales plan for the year.
  • Develop sales plans at the brand, channel, and SKU levels.
  • Ensure sales plans are aligned with overall business objectives and track progress throughout the year.

 

Sales Forecasting & Inventory Planning:

  • Develop and manage accurate sales forecasts in collaboration with the Channel Leads & Marketing team.
  • Analyse historical sales data and market trends to predict sales trends.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain & marketing teams to align inventory plans with sales forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance against targets.

 

Promotions Planning:

  • Plan sales promotions across channels with channel leads to drive Sell out and Sell In plans.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align sales promotions with the marketing calendar.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of promotions and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Oversee the annual budget for sales promotions.

 

Channel Strategy:

  • Develop and implement channel strategies to optimize sales and distribution.
  • Work with Marketing team for Brand and SKU strategy for channels.
  • •Identify new channel opportunities and work on RTM to tap the same.
  • Collaborate with channel leads to drive sales performance.

 

Route to Market Strategy:

  • Design and implement route to market strategies to ensure efficient product distribution.
  • Optimize sales routes and territories to maximize coverage and sales productivity.
  • Continuously review and refine route to market strategies based on market feedback and performance data.

 

New Launch Planning:

  • Anchor the planning and execution of new product launches.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product introductions.
  • Plan and execute 100% distribution and volume delivery of new launches across channels.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of new launches.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the key interface between sales and other functions, including marketing, finance, supply chain, and HR.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment of objectives and strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, reviews and initiatives to drive business performance.

 

Leadership

  • Demonstrate leadership maturity and ‘lead from the chair’ when engaging cross functional departments within the Hasbro business
  • Create a work environment where team members have clarity of expectations, and are engaged and capable of achieving performance objectives 
  • Foster a sense of urgency, accountability and action across the team

 

You will bring to the role:
