Production Artist

We are currently hiring a Production Artist for a junior-level, remote contract position. This role is with a company in the industrial and mechanical industry, offering up to 20 hours per week, with varying hours depending on project needs.

As a Production Artist, you will support the creative team by preparing and optimizing design assets for both print and digital media. You’ll collaborate closely with designers to ensure design files meet production requirements, maintaining high-quality output and supporting smooth workflows across projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Asset Preparation: Format and optimize design files for print, digital, and social media platforms, ensuring they meet the correct resolution, size, and file type requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers to implement revisions and prepare files for final output.
• Quality Control: Review designs for consistency in typography, color, and layout, ensuring all assets meet production standards.
• File Management: Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, ensuring version control and easy access to assets.
• Support Production: Assist in preparing print-ready files (PDFs, fonts, images) and optimizing assets for web and social media use.
• Template Maintenance: Help create and maintain design templates, ensuring consistency across multiple projects.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality across multiple formats.
• Familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and digital production processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of production requirements for both print and digital media.
• Previous experience in a production artist role or related field is a plus.
