Scrum Guide

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re currently seeking a Scrum Guide for a nonprofit medical center in Minnesota, known for its patient-focused, integrated healthcare, research, and education. This is a 7-12 month contract opportunity that is fully remote.

As the Scrum Guide, you’ll play a key role in facilitating the scrum process for a dynamic team. Your focus will be on ensuring that all team members work cohesively toward achieving product and project goals, while adhering to Agile practices and Scrum principles. Scrum Guide Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the Scrum process and ensure the team stays aligned with project/product goals.
• Guide the team through Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Promote and reinforce Agile and Scrum principles within the team to improve efficiency and collaboration.
• Resolve conflicts or issues that may arise during the project to maintain a productive team environment.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to help the team improve their Scrum practices and become more effective.
• Track and report progress against project goals and manage the product backlog effectively.
• Utilize metrics and analytics to measure team performance and progress.

Scrum Guide Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
• Proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure teams adhere to Agile processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience in coaching teams on Agile and Scrum values and principles.
• Familiarity with software development processes and procedures.
• Experience with tools and techniques for effective product backlog management.
• Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) Certification required; SAFe Agilist Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of metrics and analytics for tracking project progress.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure DevOps and Google Cloud.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
