Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role
• Cyber security analyst SME, resides in CIS (Cyber and Information Security) organization.
• This role requires a proactive individual who can detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, as well as contribute to the development of threat detection capabilities within the organization

Meet our team
• PayPal China’s Cyber Threat Management team resides in CIS is the 1st line of defense of company. Team’s responsibilities include cyber security incident response, vulnerability management, data security, Pentest and threat hunting.

• You will work closely with our business teams, tech teams and cross-functional experts, together to detect threats, mitigate risk, and improve cyber security posture.

Job Description:

Your day-to-day

• Lead and coordinate the response to security incidents, including containment, investigation, and recovery. Monitor security systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) and respond to alerts. 

• Conduct deep-dive investigations into complex security incidents using various tools and techniques. 

• Develop and tune detection rules across various platforms to improve our overall detection capabilities. 

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response processes and procedures. 

• Monitor the quality of incident response operation. 

• Handle data security alerts and monitor data access controls, encryption, and other security measures.  

• Provide expert advice on security controls and countermeasures to prevent future incidents.
