Your Impact
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Control and Material Handler Manager to oversee and optimize our production control and material handling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely production processes, managing inventory levels, and coordinating material flow to support manufacturing goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to implement and manage processes that enhance productivity and reduce waste.

What You’ll Do
Location: On Site Pinnacle Peak facility
Reports to: SVP, Global Manufacturing Strategy
Direct Reports: Yes

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production control plans to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as needed to address any delays or issues.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with production teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflows.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for material handling and storage.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production control and material handling staff.
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any personnel issues that arise.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material usage, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and other relevant metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production control and material handling, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and material handling principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in production control software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for material handling.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Arena PLM (or similar), MS Dynamics 365, JIRA, MS SharePoint

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 74,550 in the lowest geographic market and USD 119,280 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
