Rackspace seeks a Citrix Technical Manager (Director of Technical Support) to lead a team in designing, architecting, and migrating a client's infrastructure to Rackspace Data Centers. This role involves managing a strategic customer account, leading infrastructure operations in complex environments, managing a large project portfolio with complex SOWs, ensuring Managed Services contract delivery and operations meet stringent SLAs, leading large teams, and providing leadership during high-severity incidents. The position requires expertise in networking, customer success management, account management, cloud engineering, and data center management, along with a deep understanding and management of SLAs. The role is 100% remote, with preference for West Coast or Texas-based candidates and approximately 20% annual travel.
Must have:
  • 12+ years related experience
  • 7+ years team management
  • Expert in SLAs
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in Networking, Cloud Engineering, Data Center Management
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in Technical Customer Success or Account Management
Job Summary: Rackspace is proud to announce we have partnered with a new client, and to appropriately support them we need to hire a Director of Technical Support.  This person will be leading a large team of Rackers, and together they will be designing and architecting a new solution for Rackspace Data Centers and migrate the client’s current infrastructure into our newly designed one.  This is 100% very rare and exciting opportunity! 

Work Location:
·       100% Remotely.
·       Prefer candidates living in either the West Coast or the state of Texas.
·       Occasional travel roughly 20% per year. 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a strategic customer account.
    • Lead Infrastructure operations in support of large and complex environments.
    • Manage a large portfolio of projects with complex SOW’s.
    • Manage delivery & operations of Managed Services contracts with stringent SLA.
    • Lead large teams of talented individuals.
    • Lead the teams in case of high severity incidents.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study. Prefer Masters Degree.
    • Overall, 12 years of related experience.
    • Minimum of seven years of team management experience.
    • Successful background working in one or more of these fields: Networking, Technical Customer Success Manager, Technical Account Manager, Cloud Engineering, Data Center Management.
    • Expert understanding of SLA's.
    • Ability to manage SLA's.

The following information is required by pay transparency legislation in the following states: CA, HI, NY, and WA. This information applies only to individuals working in these states.
 
•The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $171,400 - $251,350.
•The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $187,500 - $275,000.
 
Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
