Job Description

The CRM Marketing Associate at Mattel will plan, execute, and evaluate CRM strategies, primarily through email marketing, but also potentially SMS, web push, and other channels. Responsibilities include managing the CRM calendar, collaborating with creative teams on campaign assets, defining audience strategies, and driving effective link strategies. The role requires data analysis to optimize campaigns, reporting performance, and identifying areas for improvement. Close collaboration with various teams (Digital Merchandising, Creative, Global Brand, and National Account) is crucial to achieving business objectives. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in email marketing strategy and operations, preferably with Klaviyo experience, and a proven track record in a DTC ecommerce or multi-channel company.

Mattel’s direct-to-consumer business has an ambitious growth agenda and is on the journey to scaling into a global organization.

As a <CRM Marketing Associate> within the Ecommerce & DTC organization, you will be responsible for planning, evaluating and overseeing the execution of consumer relationship management (CRM) strategy and tactics, primarily through email but also potentially other CRM channels such as SMS, web push and more. You will lead tests to support our Learning Agenda and continually surface opportunities to expand our knowledgebase. As a voice of the team, you will understand and confidently communicate best practices and team learnings to our partners. You must be data-driven and consumer-obsessed in how you approach your work.

You will work closely with the Senior CRM Manager to support Digital Merchandising, Creative, Global Brand and National Account teams to deliver campaigns that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Own and manage the CRM approach and business impact for your category(ies) / business unit
  • Build and manage the CRM calendar, in collaboration with the Senior CRM Manager
  • Contribute to creative briefs and work with in-house creative teams to develop assets and copy
  • Align with Senior CRM Manager to define audience strategy for all campaigns
  • Coordinate with Merchandising and others to drive effective link strategies, delivering consumer experiences that meet or exceed consumer expectations and drive business outcomes
  • Identify testing opportunities and coordinate with Senior CRM Manager to execute selected tests
  • Contribute to campaign QA, including reviewing copy, creative, link tagging and accuracy
  • Assist Senior CRM Manager in reporting and analyzing campaign performance, identifying areas of opportunity for ongoing optimization
  • Provide campaign reporting and data-driven insights to our team and our partners
  • Build upon the CRM Learning Agenda to continually test and learn across campaigns
  • Learn CRM best practices and be a spokesperson with our partners to ensure these practices are implemented across campaigns
  • Establish strong working relationships with all internal and external partners

 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years in hands-on email strategy and operations roles – Klaviyo experience a strong plus
  • 3+ years experience in a DTC ecommerce or multi-channel company
  • Experience in multi-brand retail a strong plus
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong project management and time management skills
  • Data savviness and ability to drive insights from data
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and urgent timelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including PowerPoint skills
