Lead Python SDET

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with the primary responsibility of effective assurance of product quality through test automation, code inspections, peer reviews, and other forms of engineering excellence. As a Lead SDET, you will head the quality assurance effort to ensure the highest standard of Product Quality. It is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality and technology, while providing an immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the “building” aspect of software development with the “testing” part of quality assurance. As a Lead SDET you would analyze business requirements and scenarios, be part of testing team, create test plans, test cases and build test frameworks to execute them.

This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About The Role

• Lead and Mentor a team of SDET engineers responsible for assuring the quality of the Product.
• Develop and execute QA strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure high-quality releases.
• Collaborate with developers, client teams, cross-functional teams and Project Managers, to align QA activities with project goals and commitments.
• Analyze requirements and understand the impact on existing systems and come up with an all-encompassing solution.
• Design and implementation of automated test framework.
  
  

About You

• You should have 10+ years of hands-on experience.
• Good knowledge of Python programming.
• Experience in authoring, building and adopting large-scale automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across functional, API and back-end cloud integration (including end-to-end automation).
• Knowledge in one or more of these tools Postman, SoapUI, Jmeter.
• Experience with CI/CD process and instrumenting full SDLC automation with Jenkins or Team City specifically cloud testing execution (AWS) with reporting tools such as Jira.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
