Job Description

This role involves functional testing of Murex modules (manual and MxTest) for a large Australian financial institution's Murex Binary Upgrade project (v42 to v56/58). Responsibilities include executing test cycles, test case creation, file reconciliation, defect investigation, and collaborating with other teams. The project impacts Collateral, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Ops, Settlement, MX technical areas, Reporting, and EODs. Experience with Murex 3.1, MXTest, upgrade projects, and integration/regression testing is crucial. Familiarity with Market Data Systems and tools is a plus. The candidate will produce reports, work with various technologies (Autosys, Unix, Jenkins, JIRA), and ideally have automation experience.

Must have:

6+ years testing experience
4-5 years Murex 3.1 functional testing
2-3 years MXTest experience
Murex upgrade project experience
Murex integration/regression testing

Good to have:

Automation tools (Selenium)
NFT preparation and execution
Stress/Endurance testing
Heat map and analysis

Project description

We've been engaged by a large Australian financial institution to provide resources to their upcoming Murex Binary Upgrade project.
This Bank is considering moving from Current Murex version 42 to latest higher version ( V56 or 58) to include changes Majorly impacting the Collateral / Market Risk / Credit Risk/ Ops and settlement functionalities and modules.
There are also some impacts in MX technical areas , Reporting and EODs.
We require an experienced Murex Senior Credit Risk Consultant as a part of this upgrade project

Responsibilities

Functional testing of various modules of Murex (Manual and MxTest).

Execution of entire test cycle, test scenario and test cases

Perform file reconcilliation and first level of analysis

Identify opportunities for further test automation or efficiencies through automation

Working collaboratively with other teams during test preparation and execution activities.

Proactive investigating and debugging of application defects

Producing clear and concise reports during the lifecycle of an automation project

Skills

Must have

Overall 6

7 yrs of experience in testing.

4-5 years of experience in Murex 3.1 functional testing.

2-3 years of experience in MX Test

Experience working in Murex Upgrade project

Experience on Murex Integration testing/ exposure to regression testing.

Experience across Market Data Systems and tools is a plus

Good knowledge of Global Markets across multiple asset classes

Design and document manual test cases to include the full test coverage required

Review and quality assure test cases

Configure, execute, and report on test phases/test cycles

Working with project team and vendor to ensure timely resolution of defects

Ability to work with (or willingness to learn) common technologies surrounding the Murex platform: Autosys, Unix, Jenkins, JIRA

Experienced in building a test automation suite and repeatable testing processes (desirable)

Nice to have

Exposure to any of the Automation tools, Selenium, etc.

NFT preparation and Execution

Stress Testing /Endurance Testing experience

Preparation of Heat map and Analysis.
