HR Officer

Cloud Imperium Games are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join their rapidly expanding Manchester office. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HR Officer is responsible for providing general HR services across the business, providing support on the administrative side in addition to supporting projects and handling employee relations.  

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What does a HR Officer at CIG do?   

• Support the administrative side of the HR department and ensure all documentation is meticulously maintained and up to date, including all HR systems and reports;  

• Support with any queries, and provide employees with advice and assistance regarding human resource issues, policies and procedures;  

• Support the HR team with various employee welfare issues, grievances and disciplinary investigations;  

• Ensure that employee movements, contractual changes, promotion letters, leavers, etc are accurately recorded and processed promptly;  

• Assist with preparing monthly payroll changes;  

• Support with a range of HR projects to enhance employee engagement and retention;   

• Perform general HR administrative tasks and any other delegated duties considered appropriate in line with the role.

• Prior experience working within a similar role is essential  

• Experience handling employee relations matters

• Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality  

• Exceptional organisational ability and time management skills  

• Accurate data entry skills with excellent attention to detail including proofing
