Job Summary
Job Description
Contribute to new music game projects from ideation to production. Explore the mobile game market, utilize player data, and suggest improvements for unique music games. Collaborate with cross-discipline teams on prototyping and iteration. Define design goals, supervise daily design work, and expand design briefs into complete specifications. Conduct user testing, analyze data, and document findings. Mentor junior/mid designers. Requires 3+ years of experience in game design focusing on gameplay and/or user experience, proven experience in game design, core loop and monetization design for multiple revenue models (ads, in-app purchases and hybrid). Strong game analysis skills and experience with music games is a plus.

OBJECTIVES
- Contribute effectively in new projects from ideation to production phase, to create new hit music games.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Actively explore the mobile game market as well as utilize player behavior data, feedback & suggest improvements to create new and unique music games.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams for prototyping and idea iteration, actively participating in the development of a game from start to finish.
- Define the design goals of assigned projects and supervise all daily design works towards those goals.
- Expand design briefs into complete specifications, turning over every stone and considering every possibility until no questions remain, technical or otherwise.
- Evaluate design solutions by conducting user testing, interviews and analyzing data; document your findings for use in future development.
- Mentor and guide junior/mid designers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years of experience as a game designer focusing on gameplay and/or user experience.
- Proven experience in game design, core loop and monetization design for multiple revenue models (ads, in-app purchases and hybrid).
- Working experience in music games is a strong plus.
SKILLS
- Deep knowledge of game design principles (player motivation, core loop, MDA frameworks, monetization models, economy balancing, etc.)
- Strong game analysis skills: applicants must be able to intelligently deconstruct & discuss the strengths and weaknesses of games' design and experience.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, able to work effectively in a data-driven environment.
- Ability to pitch concepts in a clear, detailed manner through strong written, visual & verbal skills.
- Experience with wireframe & UI creation tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
- Experience with office software like Excel or Google Sheet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Good at Feedback Reception and Constructive Criticism.
- Pay Attention to Detail and Precision.
