What is the opportunity?:

Engineering Manager role will be responsible to handle complex technical design discussions across various stakeholders . Here is a breakdown:

  • Experience ranges from 10 to 18 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 2 to 4 years in technical leadership and people management.
  • Strong background in architecting and designing enterprise software or cloud services using C++ on Linux / Windows / MacOS platforms
  • Role ratio is 30% hands on C++ coding / debugging + 40% Design, Architecture, HLD & LLD + 30% in people management
  • Experience managing teams and driving the design, implementation, and delivery of software solutions.
  • Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and geographies.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training .
  • Have a customer focus to ensure high quality solutions are delivered which meet the expectations of our customers.

What will you bring to Omnissa?

  • Architect and design enterprise software or cloud services using C++ on Linux / Windows / MacOS platform.
  • Lead a team of software engineers, driving the design and development of major architectural components.
  • Champion engineering initiatives and foster a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and excellence.
  • Participate in all phases of software development, including requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Communicate regularly with product management and release teams to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, creating career plans and providing technical guidance.
  • Implement and improve processes around DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD.
  • Handle customer and product escalations, prioritizing engineering work effectively.

Location: Bengaluru

Location Type: HYBRID.

This role offers a balanced arrangement, with the expectation of working 3 days a week in our local office and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days. It is essential that you reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location for the in-office workdays.

Travel Expectations: 20% of travel Domestic/International only if business demands.
