Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire an Email Marketing Developer for a Fortune 500 hospitality client.  Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.  

You’ll join the Marketing team to help designing, building, segmenting, targeting, tracking, testing, and deploying personalized campaigns. This is a 12 – month contract + extension. The team is located in Texas, and the role is fully remote.
 
Email Marketing Developer Responsibilities: 

  • Utilizing email design software to create compelling email assets.
  • Developing and applying HTML, CSS, and proven email marketing best practices to craft templates and interactive email experiences.
  • Demonstrating a strong technical background with proficiency in languages such as HTML, CSS, and XSLT.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, Python, or Ruby is a plus.
  • Being highly proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple complex projects and issues to meet deadlines and quality expectations while thriving in a collaborative team environment that values open communication.
  • Fostering strong partnerships with external vendors, internal stakeholders, and other departments to ensure open communication and alignment of goals.
  • Actively contributing to discussions with your manager and team to develop innovative and creative approaches to customer and business challenges.
  • Executing the organization's mission, goals, and objectives with self-motivation, open communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Championing a "Customer-Centric" mindset in all discussions around business goals and objectives, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in customer-first thinking within the organization.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Leading and being responsible for at least one of the team's roadmaps.
  • Exhibiting exceptional problem prevention, solving, and resolution skills from both analytical and conceptual perspectives.
  • Demonstrating a high level of integrity and ownership.
  • Delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Possessing excellent project coordination and analytical skills.
  • Displaying strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate highly detailed technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Being passionate about the email industry, motivated to learn and grow, and eager to contribute to the team's success through initiatives such as white papers, case studies, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Email Marketing Developer Requirements: 

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree or a comparable technical field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating comparable technical abilities.
  • 3+ years experience
  • Proficiency in at least 2 of the following languages: HTML, CSS, XSLT.
  • Experience with email editing software (Marketo, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Constant Contact, etc)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and JSON.
  • Understanding of mobile marketing is advantageous.


Nice to Have:
GIT (SourceTree), Postman, JIRA, and AirTable.

  • *To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
