A deep understanding of payments and payroll, including technologies, compliance, and regulatory requirements, is crucial.

As the Director, Product for Financial Services, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the product strategy for our payments and payroll offerings. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to go-to-market execution. You will also work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers in growing their businesses. Your deep expertise in payments and payroll, combined with your ability to drive growth and innovation, will be key to your success in this role.

Here’s How You Make an Impact:

    • Develop and own the product strategy for payments and payroll, aligned with the company’s growth and yearly objectives. Build and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that prioritizes market opportunities, customer needs, and business goals.
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and launch of new features, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with customer expectations.
    • Conduct competitive analysis and stay abreast of trends and regulatory changes in the financial services industry, particularly payments and payroll, to identify new opportunities for product innovation.
    • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Design, Compliance, Customer Success) and external partners  and vendors to drive the successful implementation of product initiatives.
    • Gather and analyze customer trends (internally/externally) and  feedback to continually enhance product offerings, ensuring our solutions meet the needs of customers in our prioritized segments. 
    • Define product performance model with metrics and insights that identifies the levers and drivers. Ensure we are being proactive in maintaining the health growth of payments and payroll. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, drive continuous improvement, and optimize product performance.
    • Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth. Support the development of junior team members and ensure alignment with overall business objectives. Collaborate and support peers on the Customer and Product Leadership team. 

You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following:

    • 10+ years of product management experience (at least 2 years in management), with a strong focus on financial services, specifically in payments and payroll.
    • Deep understanding of the payments and payroll landscape, including technologies, compliance, security and regulatory requirements, as well as customer needs in this space. Is both a product leader and a SME in financial services.
    • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing product managers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Demonstrated strong team member that ensures the growth of the entire Customer and Product organization.
    • Strong data analysis capabilities to assess product performance and inform decisions. Ability to work with metrics and KPIs to drive product success.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex product ideas and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work closely with engineering teams, with a solid understanding of the technical aspects of product development in the financial services industry.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Finance, or demonstrated related experience.
