The Director of Product Management for WBD Global Ad Product will be responsible for developing the strategic roadmap and execution of ad formats and user experiences on Max. This role involves creating a vision and strategy for the overall ad experience, broadening WBD's advertising product portfolio, and reimagining ad inventory into consumer-friendly experiences. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of Product Managers, collaborating with stakeholders, optimizing the creative intake process, evolving customer-facing experiences, maintaining ad-supported strategy efficiency, conducting competitive analysis, exploring new opportunities, setting priorities, managing KPIs, and leading a global ad product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in streaming/media, with proven success in data-driven decision making and team management.

Your New Role...

The Director for WBD Global Ad Product will be responsible for developing the strategic roadmap & execution of ad formats & user experiences on Max. You will create vision & strategy for the overall ad experience while broadening WBD’s portfolio of advertising products that position us as an innovative leader in the industry. You will have a specific focus on reimagining & refining ad inventory into consumer-friendly experiences. You will oversee a team of Product Managers & partner with internal stakeholders to manage and build a product strategy for our ad product suite. You will consider how to leverage scale & supply/demand to drive incremental value across ad products. Collaboration across other product managers, UX designers, engineering, research, strategy and ad sales will be critical to providing an improved ad supported experience for both streamers and advertisers. You will be focused on creating configurable ad experiences in order to meet business needs accordingly.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Responsible and accountable for the launch & evolution of standard & innovative ad formats that provide complimentary experiences for consumers and valuable inventory for advertisers, globally.

  • Oversee product development lifecycles across the ad format & UX roadmap, prioritizing customer sentiment alongside business impact & scale.

  • Create a consistent, clean & configurable ad user interface within & around content.

  • Optimize the development & management of our creative intake process across global creative sales teams.

  • Evolve our customer facing experiences to maintain competitive customer satisfaction ratings.

  • Maintain the efficiency & effectiveness of our overall ad-supported strategy, identifying new areas of opportunity for enhancement & reading out on the health of business.

  • Oversee competitive analysis and research initiatives to keep a pulse on ad industry standards and growth opportunities. 

  • Explore new areas of opportunities to drive value and growth goals forward and coordinate with key stakeholders to prioritize and execute the changes.

  • Set priorities and build shared understanding across teams to create more formal networks to coordinate and drive impact across ad product, ad sales, ad tech and ad operations.

  • Manage key performance indicators and data driven recommendations to improve the ad product experience.

  • Excel at data-driven decision making, leveraging qual & quant skills to derive insights that inform global ad product decisions.                  

  • Lead a scalable, cohesive & impactful global ad product portfolio.

  • Comfortably communicate & present product vision to executive and senior level leadership.

  • Partner with peers in Product Management to ensure alignment with general product vision and integration into unified & prioritized roadmap.

  • Mentor, manage & guide other product managers, communicating clear vision, goals and priorities that drive professional development, personal growth and a positive working environment.

  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity (unprompted) and create mechanisms to add value, close gaps and achieve more on top of your day-to-day work.

  • Establish meaningful and required metrics needed to assess the health of the business region by region; ensuring those requirements are executed globally.

  • Partner with Ad Sales to maximize ad product packaging & pricing strategy.

  • Partner with Ad Sales Research to consistently create opportunities to measure & communicate  efficacy of our products.

  • Partner with Ad Operations teams to ensure ad product campaign management & delivery is operating efficiently & effectively.

  • Partner with Creative Content Studio to establish ad product creative workflow that meets templatized designs.

  • Ability to provide user experience & business impact at any given time to ensure all understand what a feature means, how it is being prioritized & what the consumer will see.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in the streaming/media space.

  • Experience/knowledge in advertising and/or advertising product at a streaming service major plus.

  • Experience in people management, managing a team of 5+ people

  • Proven success leveraging data & identifying trends to deliver product optimizations & recommendations.

  • Proven experience understanding product development lifecycles, customer journeys and dedication to putting the customer first.

  • Strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to solving practical problems.

  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Product artifacts (PRFAQs, Requirements, Jira, Status Reports, and Product presentations) are clear and concise.                                      

  • Excellent presentation skills. Demonstrates ability to tailor content for the audience, materials are high quality. Effectively runs product review sessions.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $167,020.00 - $310,180.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
