Summary

Snail Games seeks a Bilingual Executive Assistant (English/Mandarin) to provide comprehensive support to the CEO. The ideal candidate possesses strong translation skills (ATA, ASTA-USA, or CTP certification preferred), at least 2 years of professional translation experience (preferably technical), and excellent communication and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Experience in the gaming industry is a plus. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Onsite - Beverly Hills - Prospective candidates must reside in the greater Los Angeles area and have the capability to consistently commute to our Beverly Hills office.

Snail Games is in search of an English-Mandarin bilingual Translator and Executive Assistant to be the linchpin in our efforts to ensure seamless communication and efficient support for our Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In this dynamic role, you'll be the driving force behind facilitating accurate translations, fostering collaboration among internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the realization of the CEO's visionary concepts, strategic plans, and creative insights. Your adeptness in both English and Mandarin, coupled with a comfort in deciphering technical jargon and specifications, will be central to your success. Additionally, your impressive organizational skills, scheduling finesse, and administrative prowess will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a proficient Interpreter and extend administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Deliver precise and coherent translations of written materials.
  • Provide real-time interpretations of verbal exchanges, encompassing intricate technical and business-specific concepts.
  • Ensure effective communication of intent between parties, offering pertinent context when required.
  • Perform sight translations of documents and other written materials.
  • Undertake clerical and administrative duties, including drafting correspondence, memos, invoices, reports, and documents.
  • Manage the coordination and attendance of team meetings, diligently recording minutes.
  • Undertake supplementary tasks as directed by the CEO.
  • Fulfill other associated duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is essential; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid translation certificate, such as American Translators Association (ATA), ASTA-USA (UN Translation Accreditation), or Certified Translation Professional (CTP).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional setting is required.
  • At least 2 years' experience providing professional translation services, preferably in a technical context.
  • Demonstrated business-level or higher proficiency in Mandarin, encompassing the translation of complex technical terms and concepts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin are a must.
  • Excellent organizational acumen and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven time management abilities, including a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Capability to excel in a high-paced, occasionally demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and an aptitude for swiftly adapting to new or updated software.
  • Prior experience within the gaming industry is a plus.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000/year. Exact base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
