Summary

This Applications Engineer II role supports and administers resources for contact centers, field service, and repair utilities. Responsibilities include administering, developing, configuring, and maintaining systems and communications (Windows and Linux OS), developing solutions using various techniques, and maintaining current knowledge of system and security best practices. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in system engineering, experience with React/JavaScript, NodeJS, MySQL, Express, and LogicApps, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to train and mentor less experienced team members. A 24x7 on-call rotation is part of the role.

Overview

 

An experienced Application Engineer that will be responsible for supporting and administering the resources of all contact center, field service, and repair utilities within our infrastructure.  The ideal candidate will understand many of the following resources: administering, developing, configuring, and maintaining systems and communications, Windows OS, Linux OS, and will be able to develop numerous solutions to support industry standards using various techniques and procedures.

Candidate must live in or near Rhode Island.  Position is remote.

Responsibilities

 

  • Strong understanding of system infrastructure and technology
  • Strong understanding of React/JavaScript, NodeJS, MySQL, Express, and LogicApps Code viewer
  • 5+ years of experience in system engineering support capacity
  • Experience configuring and managing cloud services
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of system and security best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
  • Ability to document, track, and monitor various issues using applicable systems and tools
  • Coordinate with other teams or specialists to resolve an issue
  • Responsible for the resolution of escalated issues of higher difficulty
  • Ability to train, coach, or assist less experienced team members with various tasks, projects, or other matters that may be on going within the organization
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function
  • Ability to partake in a 24x7 rotation while supporting the various applications that are utilized within the department

 
 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • In-depth understanding of cloud networking with AWS or Azure preferred
  • Low to Medium travel requirements globally
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with team, users, and vendors
  • Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem solving and exceptional customer service
  • Must be well spoken, outgoing, organized, detailed-orientated, dependable and flexible
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,631 - $98,467. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
