Summary

The UI/UX Designer at ARVORE is responsible for crafting exceptional user experiences in games. This role involves developing UX/UI strategies, creating roadmaps, providing data-backed recommendations, and applying UX/UI standards to optimize the consumer journey. Responsibilities include designing user journeys, wireframes, game UX flows, UI elements (menus, navigation, etc.), and high-fidelity prototypes. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze user insights, and present designs to stakeholders. A strong understanding of UX principles, proficiency in design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator), and excellent communication skills are essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The UI/UX Designer at ARVORE is responsible for helping the team create the best user experience in our games, ensuring that the end-to-end journey meets desired outcomes.


MAIN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES:


General Responsibilities:

  • Develop the User Experiences & Interfaces (UX/UI) strategy, and help set up the roadmap based on analysis for optimized consumer experience;
  • Provide rationale and supporting data for UX recommendations;
  • Apply the UX/UI standards to identify improvement areas, test and validate new standards through analysis and tests (external, internal, A/B, etc.);
  • Prepare all UX/UI design and delivery documentation in full and on time for developers to work from (this could include preparation of user journeys, concept maps, game UX flows, and wireframes);
  • Analyze user insights to identify enhancements to the consumer experience;
  • Develop a solid UI Styleguide for the game, based on the work of other fronts, such as Production Design, Visual Design, Marketing, Creative Direction and Lead Artists;
  • Build game menus, navigation buttons, search fields, narrative text boxes, among other key UI elements;
  • Develop UI mockups, wireframes and low and hi-fi prototypes that clearly illustrate how navigation functions and look like;
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders;
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.


MUST HAVE:

  • Deep knowledge of UX principles and directives, like Usability Tests, Features/Interactions Design, Experience Flow;
  • Great visual skills to create interfaces easy to understand, use and love;
  • Good knowledge of prototyping tools, like Figma;
  • Experience with digital graphical tools like Photoshop and Illustrator;
  • Great iconography, grid and typography skills;
  • Capacity to analyze User Experience insights and wireframes, and build high fidelity user interfaces prototypes;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent time estimation, management and organizational skills and the ability to cope with multiple projects at a time;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Professionalism regarding time, budgets and deadlines;
  • Proficiency in multimedia presentation software, such as Keynote and/or Google Slides;
  • Advanced English.



NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience Knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal UI layout and animation;
  • Previous work with Visual Identity and brand desing, or design for marketing and advertising;
  • Some knowledge with animation and motion design;
  • A passion for Games, Movies, TV, Art, Animation, RPGs, Theater and narrative experiences would be a great plus.
