Summary

This role requires a Senior Trade Finance SME with 7+ years of experience, specifically 5+ years in the trade finance domain and 3+ years in Finastra Trade Innovation full life cycle implementation. Responsibilities include defining Borrowing Base and transactional monitoring processes, collateral valuation, maintaining team skills, liaising with business and vendors, documenting requirements, functional specifications, and executing projects. The candidate will also perform risk reviews, review requirements, test cases, designs, and test results. Strong knowledge of trade finance products (Letters of Credit, Guarantees, etc.), processes (limits, settlements, G.L. entries), and Agile methodology is crucial. Experience with Finastra Trade Innovation customization, configuration, and interface management is mandatory.

Project description

Our Sydney based client has a number of projects and BAU items in flight. Our client is building a team which will handle and implement these Trade Finance requirements. The client currently require a Technical BA who has worked in the Trade Finance domain. Finastra Trade Innovation experience is mandatory, experience with other trade finance platforms such as IMEX is also very desirable

Responsibilities

Knowledge of "commodity & trade finance" and "structured trade finance" and define Borrowing Base and transactional monitoring process as per internal guidelines

collateral valuation/eligibility

Maintains the knowledge and technical skills of team members in commodity financing operations.

Liaison with the Business and the Vendors to gather and develop new requirements.

Documenting Business requirements and preparing the Functional spec.

Execution of Project

Review Requirements, Test Cases, Design, and Test Results.

Performs and participates in periodic risk reviews with the RISK department and Business Line: monthly/quarterly meetings to discuss "Borrowing Base" analysis

Must have

Mandatory Skills:

Total Experience: 7+ Years

Minimum 5+ years experience in trade finance domain

3+ years experience in TI full life cycle implementation

Should have proven experience in Finastra Trade Innovation customization, configuration, requirements gather, and design

Strong knowledge in Finastra Trade Innovation upgrade process

Ability to design and develop Trade Interface Manager upstream and downstream tool

Hands-on experience in Trade Finance Operations or in rollout of Trade Finance management systems in multinational banks

In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance products such as Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit, Collections, and Undertakings

Clear understanding of the life cycle, flows, and variants under each Trade Finance instrument

Good knowledge of downstream and allied processes such as limits, settlements, and G.L. entries

Good knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint ceremonies

Demonstrated technical understanding of project and system development life cycles; Experience of data analysis and mapping should be shown

Excellent interpersonal and structured communication skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills must be demonstrated
