Job Description

  • Manage network topologies and cabling.
  • Administration of firewalls and their configuration.
  • Administration of periodic firmware and software upgrades of network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network infrastructure performance.
  • Automate the process using scripting and/or infrastructure as a code where possible.
  • Write/Update/Review documentation and technical specifications related to infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
  • Identify hardware, software and network problems and propose solutions.
  • Perform regular maintenance on hardware, network, and software components.
  • Communicate effectively with the ICT team.
  • Administration of reverse proxy and load balancer equipment services.
  • Occasional travel to various client's locations to support the ICT team

Additional non-mandatory tasks could be:

  • take part in designing and implementing solutions for replication & disaster recovery.
  • utilize configuration management frameworks.
  • implement infrastructure as a code.
  • operate and support network equipment.
  • implementation of software-defined networking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of English C1 or higher Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (self-assessment).
  • Proven experience in network administration, systems engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency in network infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of firewall administration, load balancing, and reverse proxies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
  • Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with ICT teams.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
