Job Description

Enphase Energy seeks a Staff Analog Design Engineer to translate system requirements into block-level architectures and specifications. Responsibilities include designing analog systems and circuits, creating models for digital system verification, collaborating with digital design teams for integration, supervising the physical layout team, and collaborating with test engineering. The role also involves lab-based device evaluation, data analysis for test limit setting, and ensuring product specifications are met. The ideal candidate possesses 5-8 years of experience in precision analog CMOS mixed-signal integrated circuit design, strong expertise in high-speed ADCs/DACs, and experience with various building block circuits (op-amps, comparators, etc.).

Must have:

Precision analog CMOS mixed-signal IC design experience
High-speed ADC/DAC design expertise
Experience with op-amps, comparators, oscillators, DLL, PLL
System requirements translation to block-level architecture
Collaboration with digital and test engineering teams

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Translate system requirements to block level architecture and specification

Design analog system and circuits to meet specification
Create analog system and circuit models to support digital system verification
Collaborate with digital design to integrate analog and digital systems
Supervise and provide guidance to the physical layout team
Collaborate with test engineering to ensure adequate test coverage
Evaluate device in lab environment to validate product specification
Analyse ATE characterization data to set test limits and validate product specification

Required Qualifications

Solid Industry experience with focus on precision analog CMOS mixed signal integrated circuit design:
B.S. or M.S. or PhD, in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5-8 years of design experience.

Thorough familiarity with high-speed, high-resolution analog-to-digital (ADC) or digital- to-analog (DAC) data converter design techniques. Experience in designing high performance building block circuits such as bandgap reference, op-amp, comparators, oscillators, DLL, PLL etc.
