As a Principal Product Manager for Generative AI and Agentic AI, you will focus on driving innovation in these cutting-edge technologies, enabling businesses to harness AI-powered content generation, autonomous decision-making, and AI-driven automation.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product roadmap for Couchbase’s Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities. Focus areas include unstructured data ingestion, large language models (LLMs), multimodal AI, and AI agents for automation and decision-making.
• Develop advanced Agentic AI features, enabling Couchbase customers (e.g. Retail) to autonomously perform complex tasks, make decisions, and interact with data environments with minimal human intervention.
• Collaborate with engineering, AI/ML, and cloud infrastructure teams to bring Generative AI and Agentic AI features from concept to production. Ensure these capabilities are scalable and provide real-world use cases like text summarization, autonomous agents, and AI-driven personalization.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay at the forefront of industry trends in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-powered automation. Identify opportunities in industries such as Retail and Travel that can benefit from autonomous AI-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with external AI ecosystems (e.g., cloud providers, LLM vendors) to build strategic partnerships that expand Couchbase’s Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities. Work with partners like Google Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, Meta Llama , Mistral or similar to integrate advanced AI models and agent frameworks.
• Create and refine go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales teams, focusing on the unique value of Couchbase’s Generative AI and Agentic AI tools.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
• 5+ years of proven experience in product management, with at least 1 year focused on AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, or large language models (LLMs). Expertise in building and deploying autonomous AI agents, content generation models, and AI-driven systems is a bonus.
• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of statistics, traditional ML and Deep learning and GenAI algorithms
• Expertise in Generative AI models and Agentic AI technologies, including LLMs, NLP, multimodal AI, and autonomous agents. Familiarity with transformers, GPT, BERT, and agents frameworks ( such as CrewAI).
• Strong understanding of the AI ecosystem, including cloud infrastructure, AI models, and AI platforms.
• Leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders, ensuring successful product development and launches.
• A self-starter with a proven track record of driving innovation in AI-powered solutions and AI-driven automation in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

• Knowledge of Couchbase or Database systems.
• Experience building and shipping products centered on Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, embeddings, or RAG as a Product Manager or an Engineer.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
