Summary

The Shift Self-Sustaining Technician coordinates product development test plans and ensures adherence to standards. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining lab environments, preparing and calibrating test equipment, observing test subjects and equipment, recording and analyzing test data, preparing detailed reports, conducting safety and compatibility tests, monitoring trial processes, designing application parts, and collaborating with the development team. The role requires executing tests, analyzing results, identifying issues, and ensuring product quality and safety within controlled laboratory settings. Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills are essential.
Must have:

Job Description

  • Coordinates execution of product development test plans, test sequences, and directed tests, and ensures adherence to test standards and procedures.

  • Operates and maintains lab environments, equipment and tools for product development testing, validation, and characterization.

  • Prepares test equipment for use by setting up equipment and calibrating it to ensure reliable working order.

  • Observes test subjects performing tasks to ensure that they are using products correctly.

  • Observes equipment during operation to identify malfunctions or operation issues.

  • Records data points generated by tests to ensure accuracy, analyzes and prepares detailed reports of test results, and identifies any issues with products or materials.

  • Conducts tests on products, equipment, or materials to ensure that they meet safety standards or are compatible with other products in controlled environments such as laboratories.

  • Monitors trial process for all products and prototype equipment.

  • Designs specific application parts and collaborates with test and development team to operate various test equipment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:-

  • Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronic, Mechanical or any related fields.

  • Experience in testing and back end equipment, IC assembly processing, metallurgy tools and operating tester is an added advantage.

  • Skills- Self-driven and ability multi-task in complexity environment.

  • Decision Making and Judgment

  • Computer Systems: MS word, excel, PPT, Email

  • Communication- Strong verbal and written communication, able to provide comprehensive update on work progress and also engineering data compilation

  • Leadership and Teamwork- Self-sufficiency, able to manage the stakeholders, able to work well with co-workers.

  • Knowledge - Engineering and process knowledge for excursion/Qual activities mentioned above.
