GRC is based in Finance and drives the overall control framework to ensure a sound control culture and control environment is in place. GRC is looking for a highly motivated Programme manager to join our Programme Management Team in GRC. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our risk-based internal control culture and framework, which reflects Maersk’s core value of Constant Care.

The Programme Manager will be supporting the coordination and drive daily operational activities to ensure we deliver with standard and quality. Furthermore, the Programme Manager will support strategic projects related to the overall implementation of risk and control methodology within Maersk as well as also support in the capacity planning for both BAU tasks as well as special projects.

The Programme Manager should be well organized, able to work under pressure and a dedicated individual that can demonstrate problem solving skills and strong collaboration skills.

As a Programme Manager you will interact with many colleagues both within GRC but also build a strong, professional network across the rest of Maersk hence it is important that you have an interest in understanding Maersk as an organization as well as the different products Maersk offers.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in capacity planning to determine what activities and projects can be completed throughout the year.
  • Ensure standardization across agile sprints (both risk and control assessments).
  • Drive monthly reporting on risk and control progress to management.
  • Drive the continuous improvement cycle
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered on-time.
  • Be a change agent driving the continuous development of the risk and internal controls culture in the first line of defense (1st LoD), by driving projects which will support 1st LoD.
  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure effective project delivery
  • Undertake other assignments as required to support the business including e.g. SteerCo reporting, drive initiatives to strengthen the programme overall

Required Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate has +5 years of experience from the consulting industry
  • Experience with stakeholder management and presenting for senior management.
  • Experience in project & programme management  
  • Basic understanding of Agile
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong and proficient in Excel
  • Strong experience in building presentations in PowerPoint
  • Collaborative work style which fosters cooperation, teamwork, and stakeholder management across cultures
  • Good understand of Risk and control processes and framework may be an advantage
