We're looking for a top-notch Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team. We're big believers in teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. The ideal candidate is extremely curious, a strong communicator, and highly enthusiastic about driving cross-team collaboration to meet our objectives. The role involves designing and implementing distributed, fault-tolerant systems that empower not only the success of the team but the organization as a whole.
Necessary skills and experience
- 15+ years experience with highly scalable distributed systems using open source toolsIn-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support).
- An ability to demonstrate software engineering fundamentals such as OO design, unit testing, code reuse, and code reviews.
- Proven experience in developing prototypes and POCs, with the ability to create architectural diagrams and draft comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Extensive knowledge in programming/scripting languages - Golang. Java, Javascript, Ruby, Python, etc is a plus.
- Advanced understanding and experience in building high-performance algorithms.
- Designed and directed the implementation of complex cloud architectures on AWS and GCP, incorporating best practices for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Expertise in designing and optimizing cloud architectures with a strategic focus on advanced cloud fabrics and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Expertise knowledge in building platform tools and solutions to enhance system capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Knowledge of the following technologies or concepts
- Cloud technology/architecture (preference AWS).
- Big-data infrastructures such as Hbase, Hadoop, Mongo, Cassandra, or RDBMS.
- Amazon Web Services like S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR.
- Modern build tools such as Maven, Github, etc.
- Agile development methodology
- Linux
