Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Product Data Scientist for the SMB Merchant Onboarding Analytics team who is very strong at generating valuable insights from data through deep dive analysis, experienced at supporting new product launches by establishing test and control plans and ensuring constant monitoring is in place to track product performance.

Meet Our Team:

We are part of GADS Merchant Product team supporting all things SMB. Specifically, this team is responsible for the SMB early lifecycle. Our team comprises of members from Analytics, Machine Learning and Strategy fields working closely together to improve the SMB metrics that matter.

Your Way to Impact:

This is a high visibility analytics role where the individual is expected to be hands on with the basic technical skills and work closely with the product stakeholders

You are responsible for one or more of the health metrics. A successful candidate is one who is on top of the metrics in terms of reporting the drop/increase in metrics, attribution the reasons (RCA) as well as successfully helping the product team/stakeholders in moving the metric using new ideas & experiments

Your Day-to-Day:

You are responsible for one or more of the health metrics. The role will revolve around the metrics – the work includes:

• Reporting & visualization of the metric(s)/KPIs
• Insights & RCA
• Opportunity identification
• Experimental design & measurement
• Other ad-hoc Data Science work

What You Need to Bring:

• A successful candidate will bring at least 5 years of professional experience within a Data Science or analytical role
• Experience analyzing very large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets is required
• Advanced SQL experience is required, preferable with Big Query analytics (Google Cloud)
• Visualization experience is required (ideally Tableau but Looker or others are okay)
• Experience with Python is required
• Experience and understanding of A/B testing and experiment design is required
• Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and statistical tools
• Experience working in the consumer product space and/or FinTech, payments, ecommerce or similar is highly preferred
• Expertise in stitching together findings to convey coherent insights
• Ability to solve problems analytically and create actionable recommendations
• Advanced ability to use reporting tools like Tableau and/or Excel to share analysis
• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative field (such as Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Engineering) or equivalent field experience is preferred but not required

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$84500 to $204600
