We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer.

Main Requirements:

  • Experience in testing web services (backend APIs) using Postman, Insomnia, Curl, or other similar tools;
  • Knowledge of REST API principles and the HTTP protocol;
  • Ability to write from scratch or maintain (extend or modify) a web service testing framework;
  • Understanding and practical application of object-oriented programming principles;
  • Participation in code reviews (pull requests);
  • Involvement in web service releases (preparation and overseeing the deployment to production);
  • Experience in web services troubleshooting (log analysis, code debugging);
  • Ability to formalize business requirements and write well-structured test cases;
  • Capability to independently assess and complete tasks;
  • Good technical English (reading and writing);
  • At least 3 years of production experience with C#;
  • Experience writing LINQ queries and understanding functional programming in C#;
  • Experience with asynchronous and parallel code execution and testing;
  • Proficiency with Entity Framework or other similar ORM frameworks;
  • Knowledge of SQL and understanding the principles of relational databases and how they differ from other types of databases;
  • Ability to work with the command line (Windows and Linux);
  • Experience with Git;
  • Ability to write and debug UI tests using Selenium;
  • Experience with TeamCity, Azure Pipelines, or similar build systems.

Would be a plus:

  • Having code examples on GitHub is a plus;
  • You may create a mini-framework for testing or your own client for any open API for example,
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy, Kubernetes, Docker, Elastic Stack (ELK);
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (indexes, transactions, data normalization);
  • Familiarity with other types of databases (MongoDB, Redis);
  • Experience working with clients or collaborating with other teams to resolve service integration issues.
