Remote Back End Developer / Engineer III

Overview of the Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Back End Developer to join their engineering team. This is a key role responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that works autonomously to create innovative solutions and deliver high-impact results. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about both technical excellence and fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services that are highly available and easily extendable
• Build and operate infrastructure, user tooling, and deployment pipelines
• Collaborate with a team of specialists, contributing to the success of an autonomous, cross-functional group
• Take operational responsibility for the services owned by your team, including participating in an on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar backend engineering role
• Proficiency in Java and Go Language, with experience in JKE and Google Cloud
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Ability to write distributed, high-performance services in Golang or Python
• Experience deploying and operating services on Linux
• Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a drive for success
• A background in tech culture environments, such as Google or Amazon, is preferred
