The Print Strategy Lead at Canva will shape and execute Canva Print's strategies across new product launches, B2B opportunities, and other growth initiatives. Responsibilities include collaborating with leadership to define strategic direction, driving merchandising strategy, identifying new product categories, analyzing product performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Ops, & Marketing) for successful product launches. The role requires deep dives into business drivers, performance analysis, identifying growth opportunities, understanding the competitive landscape, and staying abreast of industry trends. This is a critical role requiring strategic thinking, data analysis, strong execution, and cross-functional alignment.

The Print team within this supergroup is on a mission to win the hearts and minds of small businesses and empower users to bring their designs to life. Through innovative and scalable solutions, we aim to make print as seamless and delightful as designing on Canva.

About the Role

As the Print Strategy Lead, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing Canva Print’s strategies across launching new products and categories, how we tackle the B2B opportunity, and how we consider other strategic priorities to continue to grow the business. You’ll collaborate closely with the leadership team to shape the strategic direction and performance of key business areas for Canva Print.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate closely with Canva Print leadership team to shape the strategic direction and performance of key business areas for Canva Print
  • Drive and execute merchandising strategy for Canva Print Products
    • Identify new products and categories Print should enter and further invest in to unlock revenue and TAM using both qualitative and quantitative inputs (e.g., data, market research, internal assessment of revenue opportunity for Print, needs of existing Print user base, Print strategic direction)
    • Analyze performance of products post-launch and incorporate learnings into future product decisions and launches
    • Collaborate with teams across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Ops, & Marketing to prepare for launch of new products to ensure they succeed and accomplish original goals intended
    • Analyze performance of existing Print SKUs on an ongoing basis; collaborate with broader Print team to build and execute strategies to promote high-performing SKUs
  • Drive strategy, analysis, and execution of other key strategic areas within Canva Print (e.g., international strategy, B2B strategy)
  • Deep dive into the critical drivers of the business and analyze performance of existing programs, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Deeply understand the business and competitive landscape; Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new print technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve the print strategy.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years experience in management consulting, business strategy or operations, investment banking, venture capital, and/or private equity
  • Strategic, first principles thinker - Ability to take end-to-end ownership of large, ambiguous problems and break them down into clear, actionable plans
  • Data-driven and analytical - Strong problem-solver who can break down problems and diagnose root causes. Uses data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Track record of successfully executing strategies and recommendations - Can operationalize strategy into plans and execution.
  • Operational, practical, and results-driven - Ability to develop actionable plans that are grounded in real-world practicality, ensuring strategies are not only innovative but also feasible and aligned with operational capabilities.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional alignment - Strong communicator who is able to work and drive alignment across all levels and teams.
  • Hands on & humble - Humble and scrappy. Enjoys digging into the data and details and being a player coach when needed.
