Le·a Programmeur·euse jouabilité en chef relèvera du·de la producteur·rice senior.

Responsabilités et tâches

  • Diriger, encadrer et gérer les programmeur·euses jouabilité ; suivre et piloter la qualité et le respect des délais du travail effectué à toutes les phases du développement.

  • Consacrer 30 % de son temps au codage, en fournissant des systèmes et des fonctionnalités de haute qualité qui répondent aux exigences techniques et de conception. Optimiser et déboguer le code pour garantir les performances et la qualité technique.

  • Définir et appliquer les meilleures pratiques de programmation et les normes de codage, et s'assurer qu'elles sont respectées par le biais de révisions régulières du code.

  • Travailler en partenariat avec les producteur·rice·s et les coresponsables de tous les domaines afin de fixer les priorités, de planifier, d'évaluer et de répartir la charge de travail de son équipe de manière optimale.

  • Favoriser le partage des connaissances, veiller à la fourniture et à la qualité de la documentation technique pour son équipe.

  • Assurer une liaison régulière avec la direction, les autres co-créateur·rice·s et les responsables techniques afin de garantir la cohérence du travail.

Qualifications recherchées

  • Expérience de la direction et de la gestion d'une équipe de programmeur·euses de jeux durant toutes les phases de production.

  • Excellentes compétences en matière de leadership, d'organisation et de communication, avec une capacité à motiver et à organiser des équipes dans un environnement en constante évolution.

  • Capacité à réviser et à donner un retour d'information de manière constructive et claire.

  • Maîtrise de C/C++ avec une connaissance pratique de la technologie et des outils modernes du jeu vidéo.

  • Excellente capacité à établir des priorités, à organiser et à structurer son propre travail et celui de l'équipe, ainsi qu'à gérer les dépendances.

Qualifications souhaitées

Position – Lead Gameplay Programmer

The Lead Gameplay Programmer will work closely with the Gameplay Architect, Staff Programmers, Gameplay Programmers, and the Gameplay Producers to deliver high quality game features at a high level of technical quality on time.

You will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of gameplay programmers as well as overseeing the quality, best practices, timeliness and cohesion of the work carried out. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment to ensure the delivery of high quality features that meet design and technical requirements.

Reporting -The Lead Gameplay Programmer will report to a Senior Producer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead, mentor and manage  gameplay programmers; track and drive the quality and timeliness of the work being done throughout all phases of development.

  • Spend 30% of your time coding, delivering high quality systems and features that meet design and technical requirements. Optimize and debug code to ensure performance and technical quality.

  • Set and enforce programming best practices and coding standards, ensure they're being followed through regular code reviews.

  •  Partner with Producers and co-leads from all fields to optimally set priorities, plan, evaluate and distribute the workload for his/her team.

  •  Foster knowledge sharing, ensure delivery and quality of technical documentation for his/her team.

  •  Act as a regular liaison with management, other co-creative and technical leads to ensure the cohesiveness of the work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience leading and managing a team of gameplay programmers during all production phases.

  • Great leadership, organizational and communication skills with an ability to motivate and organize teams in a fast paced changing environment.

  • Ability to review and give feedback in a constructive and clear manner.

  • Fluent in C/C++ with a practical knowledge of modern Video Game technology and tools.

  • Excellent ability to prioritize, organize and structure his/her own work and that of the team as well as to manage dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of the technical considerations and best practices for Games As A Service.

  • Understanding of Cloud based development and streaming considerations.

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies (XP, Scrum, etc.) and common scheduling and tracking tools

  • Ability to work through diverse challenges and a strong desire to find ways to optimize the game development process.
