Project description
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer with extensive experience in T-SQL, SSIS, and reporting tools to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate has a robust background in ETL package design, complex querying, and collaborative project development. As a technical leader, you will work closely with engineers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions. A strong understanding of DevOps, Agile methodologies, and programming best practices will be essential to drive continuous improvement across the team and align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and optimization of ETL packages, complex queries, and reporting solutions to meet business needs.
Collaboration: Partner with lead engineers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, outline objectives, and define software solutions.
Code Quality and Optimization: Implement programming best practices to ensure scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth by setting high technical standards and leading by example.
Process Improvement: Promote DevOps practices and agile methodology, and champion continuous integration and delivery using modern toolsets.
Problem Solving: Tackle complex analytical and numerical challenges with innovative solutions to enhance product performance and user experience.
Documentation and Code Maintenance: Manage code repositories, track bugs, document code, and maintain wikis to ensure efficient knowledge sharing and version control.
Skills
Must have
At least 8 years of experience as a developer
Experience in TSQL, SSIS & Reporting tools
Good experience in complex queries, and designing of ETL packages
The ability to collaborate with lead engineers, architects, business analysts, and other key stakeholders to understand the objectives and requirements
Experience of working with code repositories, bug-tracking tools, and wikis
Coding experience in multiple programming languages
Experience of DevOps and Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologies
A background in solving highly complex, analytical, and numerical problems.
Experience in implementing programming best practices, especially around scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance
