About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Product Manager with expertise in startups and the restaurant industry. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data-driven product development and good exposure to data in restaurant. This role involves driving the strategy, development, and execution of innovative data products that empower our restaurant partners to make informed, data-backed decisions and improve their operations.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute a bold data product strategy that aligns with our business goals, using M&A insights and Databricks capabilities to unlock new value.
- Lead the end-to-end development of data products, collaborating closely with engineering, data science, and design teams to create solutions that meet market needs.
- Design tailored data products for the restaurant industry, focusing on the unique challenges of mergers and acquisitions. Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Leverage Databricks to optimize data processing and integration, enhancing product performance and scalability.
- Deep dive into the needs of restaurant operators, especially in the M&A space, and translate these insights into impactful product features.
- Work with data scientists to uncover key trends and patterns, driving predictive analytics and models that provide actionable insights.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful product adoption and ongoing improvements. Keep stakeholders informed with clear, compelling updates.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that balances immediate needs with strategic vision. Prioritize initiatives that deliver the most value to our partners.
- Define success metrics and KPIs, track product performance, and iterate based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in product management with a focus on data-driven products, ideally within startups and the restaurant industry. Strong expertise in M&A data and Databricks is highly preferred.
- Proficient in data analytics, data science, and engineering. Expert in Databricks, SQL, and M&A data environments, with a knack for turning complex data into user-friendly solutions.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments. Skilled in stakeholder management and driving product success.
- Passionate about understanding and solving the unique challenges faced by restaurant operators.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Business). An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus.
Good to Have
- Hospitality Tech and Familiarity with restaurant tech solutions like POS or customer engagement platforms.
- Understanding of GDPR or CCPA compliance in data products.
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for building impactful dashboards.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, especially integrating with Databricks.
- Knowledge of incorporating ML models into data products to drive predictive insights.
