Job Description

Tesla seeks a creative Instructional Designer for its EMEA Learning & Development team. This role focuses on developing engaging learning experiences for Sales & Delivery teams across the EMEA region. Responsibilities include designing e-learnings, knowledge articles, and videos; collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs; managing projects from conception to completion; developing assessments; and implementing content strategies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Instructional Design, adult learning theories, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and e-learning authoring tools. The role demands excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, along with a passion for fostering employee growth and success within Tesla's dynamic environment.

What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a creative and adaptable Instructional Designer to join our EMEA Learning & Development team. This role is crucial for developing innovative and engaging learning experiences tailored to the needs of our Sales & Delivery teams across the region. The Instructional Designer will create a variety of educational materials, including e-learnings, knowledge articles, and video content, to enhance the skills and knowledge of our customer-facing staff. In this position, you'll collaborate with Regional L&D Partners and various stakeholders to understand business priorities, craft targeted learning solutions, and ensure the effective delivery of learning programs that align with Tesla's dynamic environment and high standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Instructional Design, or a related field, such as Learning Experience Design, UX Design, or Graphic Design, and have a knack for simplifying complex information. You'll be instrumental in shaping the learning landscape for Tesla’s field teams, working closely with subject matter experts to ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and impactful. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills, along with a passion for helping others grow and succeed.

What You’ll Do

Course Development: Design and refine e-learning, video, and self-paced training programs for Sales & Delivery roles, ensuring alignment with Tesla's brand standards
Project Management: Manage Instructional Design projects from conception through to completion, adapting to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Collaboration: Work with project managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure training programs meet business needs
Assessment Design: Develop task-based assessments that align with learning objectives
Content Strategy: Identify and implement content strategies to enhance the learning experience
Innovation: Collaborate with Global and EMEA teams to foster innovative approaches and improve curriculum development
Evaluation: Establish and measure training metrics to assess program success

What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, or a related field
Strong understanding of adult learning theories and Instructional Design models
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Graphic Design and Premier Pro skills are a plus
Experience with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Rise and Storyline
Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in problem-solving and relationship-building
Experience managing course materials in a learning management system
Experience with web-based tools, such as SharePoint or other website builders
