The Role
Gala is excited to announce we are continuing to hire in our Chile office. We are seeking to hire a couple of Frontend Engineers with expertise in React. You will develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using javascript-based frameworks working closely with UX specialists and backend engineers to create highly scalable and performant experiences for users. Utilizing your experience with React and Next.js, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining modern, user-friendly web applications.
You will be a part of a company of super-achievers who work together to bring forth the evolution of entertainment. The ideal candidate has prior blockchain, experience, excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. We want someone with experience and passion for web3, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. We would love someone with a deep passion for games, strong product management skills, and an impressive track record for working in a fast-paced, evolving, creative-minded environment.
Responsibilities
- Showcase expertise in React UI development and implement responsive / reusable user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience
- Implementing new functionalities in existing frontend applications while partnering with UX team and backend engineers
- Optimization of existing solutions
- Code quality monitoring and optimization
- Collaborate with Product Managers and designers to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues related to large datasets in the UI, ensuring a smooth and engaging user interaction
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience developing applications with React (minimum 3 years)
- Advanced knowledge of hooks, Redux, React Context, and React life cycles
- Experience optimizing React components
- This role demands a deep understanding of React ecosystems and effective implementation of UI/UX designs
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with REST services and WebSockets
- Mastery of HTML and CSS, and experience in responsive design
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate with different departments
- Good eye for design and usability
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude toward continuous learning
- Knowledge of architecture and component design in React
- Self-motivated, stellar work ethic, fun collaborator
- Excited by problem-solving

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Tailwind CSS
- Knowledge of animations in React (React Spring and/or Animate)
- Bundle optimization
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Git
