UI Lead Engineer

Birdeye is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable UI Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a UI Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance, reliability, and user experience of our features while contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes. Responsibilities

● Actively engage in resolving bugs and delivering new features, ensuring high-quality technical solutions.

● Support engineering and product teams in maintaining technical excellence, reliability, and user-friendly interfaces.

● Mentor and develop engineers within the team, fostering their growth and career advancement.

● Serve as a thought leader and mentor, providing guidance on technical, architectural, and design-related matters.

● Estimate project efforts, identify risks, and effectively manage project schedules to meet deadlines.

● Drive team expansion by recruiting top engineering talent, from initial outreach to final hiring decisions.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver end-to-end products and features. Requirements

● Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with hands-on experience in developing web applications.

● Strong expertise in Node.js and server-side technologies, with a focus on building scalable and robust systems.

● Extensive experience in React.js & Redux, Webpack, and ES6, with a track record of delivering high-quality UI components.

● 7 years or more of total experience in software development.

● Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role, with current technical proficiency.

● Ability to facilitate consensus among stakeholders and effectively communicate between engineering and other teams.

● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges.
