Job Description

Tesla seeks a Field Service Technician specializing in Supercharging to maintain Iceland's network. Responsibilities include on-site installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of Supercharger stations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis (remotely and on-site), acting as the primary contractor contact, collaborating with engineering teams to address recurring issues, and independently managing technical activities. International travel may be required. The role demands expertise in low and medium-voltage electrical systems, with high-voltage experience preferred. Fluency in Icelandic and English, along with an EU passport or work permit, is essential.

Electrical engineering technician experience
Low/Medium voltage system experience
Troubleshooting and repair skills
Excellent communication
Icelandic & English fluency
EU passport or work permit

Good to have:

High voltage system experience

What to Expect

As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Iceland. What You’ll Do

Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Supercharging network in Iceland and abroad when needed
Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities

What You’ll Bring

Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
A passion for renewable energy
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
Flexible towards travelling
Fluency in Icelandic and a good command of English
An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
