IGT is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician IV to join our industry-leading team. This critical position focuses on the installation, service, maintenance, and upgrading of IGT’s gaming systems across Southern California. As a key contributor to operational excellence, the role involves responding promptly to dispatches, traveling to customer locations, and ensuring seamless functionality and peak performance of gaming equipment. With a focus on troubleshooting complex technical issues, coordinating system upgrades, and executing installations, this role requires advanced technical expertise, adaptability, and precision. By supporting the reliability and efficiency of IGT’s innovative gaming solutions, the Field Service Technician IV plays an essential role in upholding the company’s reputation as a leader in the gaming industry.
- Manage and execute assigned casino service activities, including hardware and software conversions, upgrades, and installations.
- Conduct pre-installation site visits to identify parts and wiring requirements at customer locations.
- Conduct thorough prep tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of hardware, firmware, and system interfaces prior to installation.
- Transport, install, maintain, and upgrade IGT gaming systems, equipment, replacement parts, and tools, ensuring proper functionality and an organized, structured setup.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gaming systems and machines at the component or circuit level to restore functionality in the field.
- Resolve customer issues with games and systems promptly, traveling to sites for installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
- Test gaming programs and systems using verification devices to ensure accurate operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance on IGT gaming systems and equipment to promote continuous operation.
- Set up game options and configure various gaming devices, including bill acceptors and pay tables.
- Coordinate and manage the ordering of parts necessary to complete service tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Track and report issues, labor, and logistics using SAP and other software tools.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers to ensure accurate reporting of activities and resolutions.
- Train and mentor less experienced technicians, including providing basic training to new retailers.
- Represent IGT to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring professional communication and accurate technical information.
Qualifications
- High school degree or GED equivalent required.
- 4+ years of experience in a customer service-related position.
- 4+ years of experience in technical repairs.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to accurately distinguish colors for wiring, components, and system configurations.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 50 lbs safely during installations and repairs.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods to reach various job sites.
- Strong hand-eye coordination for precise repairs and installations.
- Proficient in safely operating tools and equipment with moving parts and electrical currents.
- Comfortable working at heights, from ladders, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,990/yr - $96,845/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
