WebFX seeks an Expert Advisor in Manufacturing to review content for accuracy and clarity. This remote freelance role requires a minimum of 4 hours/week, potentially increasing to 15 hours. Responsibilities include reviewing content, identifying areas needing clarification, suggesting improvements to ensure accuracy and educational value. The ideal candidate possesses strong written communication skills and expertise in manufacturing processes, systems, quality assurance, and related areas. They will leverage their industry knowledge to ensure content aligns with best practices and industry standards across various sectors. The role provides flexibility and longevity, with existing advisors in this role for over 10 years.

Must have:

Expert in Manufacturing processes
Strong written communication
Accuracy and clarity in reviews
Minimum 4 hours/week availability

Good to have:

Professional Engineering license
CMfgA, CMfgT, CMfgE certification
Additive Manufacturing Certification
CPT 4.0 & CPT+, CLT, CFT certifications
CT-SCA, GDT, CAP, CCST, CQE, CRE, CSQE certifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant engineering or manufacturing field
MBA with engineering/manufacturing background

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

As an experienced professional in your field, you'll get to review a variety of interesting content projects to verify industry accuracy. You will:

Review content for correctness. Is the information in a project true for your industry?

Identify sections or points in copy that need clarification. Can a concept be better explained, and how?

Recommend and suggest changes that our top-notch team of writers and editors can implement within projects. What needs to change, and how, to ensure content is educational and factually accurate?

You're familiar with manufacturing's analytical, technical and quality assurance needs, and you know inventory control systems, equipment mechanics, acquiring raw materials and optimizing product lines are crucial processes within a business. Understanding how things work — the systems, machines and processes that bring new products and industry innovation to life — means you can explain to others how a solution matters. In this role, you'll offer insight as you review content related to manufacturing aspects of many different industries.

Location

This position is fully remote! Work from anywhere as long as you have a great internet connection and a comfortable workspace.

Time commitment

How much time can you commit per week? We're looking for someone who can confidently commit at least ~4 hours per week — and if our client demand expands, increase to as much as ~15 hours per week.

Our project management team will align your workload based on your scheduling availability, which you'll communicate to us each week. Here's a review of the workflow:

Projects should be accepted or declined within 48 hours of receiving them.

After 48 hours with no response, they will be removed from your queue.

If you accept the project, you will have 48 hours from the day of acceptance to complete your project review.

Compensation: Hourly rates from $50 to $90 per hour. Compensation depends on certifications, education and work experience.
