With the clear objective to further expand our presence in Belgium, we are looking for a Corporate Tax Senior Expert for our offices in Ghent, Antwerp or Brussels.

What you’ll learn and do

As a corporate tax senior associate, you’ll help our clients to ensure their tax strategy’s efficiently implemented and managed, and help them cope with ever-increasing, complex reporting requirements. You’ll serve as a trusted tax advisor, helping clients with their day-to-day challenges and queries to guide them through the rapidly evolving Belgian and international tax landscape.

Your responsibilities as Compliance Tax Advisor will mainly include:

- Play a key role in providing corporate tax advisory services and in taking care of the reporting requirements for your clients.
- Assist and advise clients in their dealings with the Belgian tax authorities and propose tailor-made tax solutions
- Constantly keep an eye out for possible opportunities for your clients and act as a trusted business advisor
- Collaboration with our other specialised departments, such as transfer pricing, and mergers and acquisitions, personal tax and indirect tax.

Your responsibilities as M&A/Real Estate Tax Advisor will mainly include:

- Offering tax advice in the framework of due diligence, acquisition structuring and post-deal integration, legal restructuring, financing of acquisitions and all other side aspects surrounding a deal which may have a tax impact.
- Bringing business knowledge, innovation and insight to create value for clients and the firm
- Embracing the digital evolution in our business and at clients and drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients
- Constantly keep an eye out for possible opportunities for your clients and act as a trusted business advisor

Who you are

- Bachelor or master’s degree in law or economics 

- Knowledge of Belgian tax law

- 2 to 9 years of experience in corporate taxation, tax accounting and corporate tax compliance 

- Ability to analyse complex problems and present them in a synthesised manner

- Project management skills

- Ability to work within budgetary and time constraints while providing a high level of client satisfaction

- Good presentation skills and fluent (report) writing skills; IT knowledge is a valuable asset

- A team-player attitude with outstanding communication skills. 

- Entrepreneurial, committed, flexible, accurate and eager to learn

- Fluent in English and Dutch, with knowledge of French
