Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission

As a Project Manager for the Turbine Programme, you will define work scopes, develop strategies, and manage contracts to ensure project delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:

⚡️ Define the work scope and interfaces within the programme
⚡️ Develop and implement strategies and plans aligned with the programme execution plan (PEP)
⚡️ Maintain effective communications with stakeholders and execute project strategies
⚡️ Drive contract delivery to meet safety, time, budget, and technical requirements
⚡️ Monitor and manage programme progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget
⚡️ Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues, and escalate to the Senior Project Manager when necessary
⚡️ Undertake contract administration activities with Commercial Manager support
⚡️ Oversee Tier 1’s supply chain to maintain Nuclear Safety
⚡️ Manage non-conformances during manufacturing to ensure quality and schedule
⚡️ Handle contract changes, scope definition, and business justification
⚡️ Maintain level 3 schedules consistent with overall Project schedules
⚡️ Ensure Qualification for Nuclear Safety activities are completed
⚡️ Liaise with HPC Site team for pre-shipping activities
⚡️ Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
⚡️ Promote Continuous Improvement and knowledge-capture
⚡️ Review Contractor schedules and ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled
⚡️ Interface with other programmes to adopt best practices
⚡️ Maintain effective relationships with project team members

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

🛠 Track record in delivering projects in complex environments
🛠 Strong skills in project management, financial management, change management, and facilitation
🛠 Experience in managing commercial claims and negotiations
🛠 Excellent presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills
🛠 Strong communication and organisational skills
🛠 Proven experience managing major projects from concept to handover in regulated environments
🛠 Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering
🛠 Experience with centrifugal pumps, motors, and variable speed gearboxes
🛠 Working knowledge of French is an advantage

Desired Skills

✔️ Experience in the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment
✔️ Ability to engage multi-level stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and advisors
✔️ Strong numerical and analytical skills
