As a Compliance Analyst III, you will play a key role in supporting our client's compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, particularly around licensing and money transmitter laws. This contract position is based in San Francisco, CA with a hybrid work schedule, offering you the flexibility to balance remote and in-office work. Contract Duration is 4-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support compliance activities for 56 U.S. licenses and 1 Canadian registration, including preparing applications for licensing expansion and regulatory reports.
  • Track and integrate evolving regulatory requirements into the client’s business processes to ensure compliance with money transmitter laws and state regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a unified control framework to strengthen Canada compliance controls.
  • Contribute to additional compliance-related projects as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance, particularly in managing licenses and ensuring compliance with money transmitter and payments laws.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and Canadian regulatory environments, with the ability to integrate requirements into business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintaining a keen focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Project management experience, particularly in driving progress and integrating cross-functional efforts, is preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex information.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams and departments.
  • Strong documentation skills to capture work processes, procedures, and agreements.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive action in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with money transmission regulatory compliance standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with project management and business analysis.

To qualify for our benefits package, candidates must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of the assignment must be at least 10 weeks.
