Haven Studios seeks an experienced Community Manager to help grow their profile and the digital presence of their game, Fairgames. Responsibilities include building and executing community engagement strategies, maintaining player dialogue, coordinating player feedback loops with the development team, creating content, and supporting events. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience building engaged communities across multiple platforms and possess strong player moderation and communication skills. This role requires collaborating with marketing and development teams to build a positive, inclusive player experience and track key performance indicators.

Good to have:
  • AA+ scale multiplayer community management

Haven Studios est un studio de développement de jeux vidéo basé à Montréal. En mai 2021, nous nous sommes embarqués dans un voyage pour créer Haven en tant que petite équipe avec de grandes ambitions. Notre objectif était de bâtir un studio composé de personnes exceptionnelles où, ensemble, nous pourrions créer le genre de jeux que nous avons toujours voulu créer - des jeux auxquels nous avons toujours souhaité jouer. Haven a rejoint la famille PlayStation Studios en tant que première équipe de développement de jeux Sony au Canada en 2022.

Nous avons fait des progrès étonnants en peu de temps grâce à notre équipe talentueuse et passionnée et à ses excellentes contributions. Notre premier jeu, Fairgames, est en cours de développement pour PlayStation et PC. Fairgames est un jeu d'action et de braquage multijoueur compétitif dont la vision est de construire un monde systémique et évolutif axé sur la liberté, le frisson et le jeu, qui divertira et engagera les joueur·euse·s pour les années à venir.


 

Poste - Gestionnaire de communauté

Nous recherchons un·e gestionnaire de communauté qui relèvera le défi d'aider à développer le profil de Haven, de créer et d'étendre la présence numérique de Fairgames, de représenter Fairgames en ligne et de s'engager directement auprès de nos joueurs·euses. Vous soutiendrez les objectifs commerciaux et marketing en étant le lien entre notre communauté de joueurs·euses et notre équipe de développement interne - en gérant les actifs, les canaux de communication et en construisant une expérience positive, vibrante et inclusive dans et hors de notre jeu, dans le but de fidéliser et d'engager nos joueurs·euses. Vous savez résoudre les problèmes de manière créative et faire preuve d'ingéniosité pour atteindre vos objectifs.

Rapport

Le·la gestionnaire de communauté est rattaché·e au responsable de communauté.

Responsabilités et tâches

  •  En collaboration avec le·la responsab1le de la communauté, élaborer et mettre en œuvre une stratégie holistique d'engagement de la communauté qui soutient et s'aligne sur nos efforts de marketing, développe une communauté accueillante et inclusive, et fournit des communications centrées sur les joueurs·euses. 

  • Maintenir un dialogue avec nos joueurs·euses, en participant activement aux discussions de manière à refléter les valeurs de notre studio, à savoir la gentillesse, l'adaptabilité et le courage, qui laissent la place à l'excellence créative.

  • Coordonner avec l'équipe de développement la mise en place et l'action de boucles de feedback des joueurs·euses dans le but de nous rapprocher de nos joueurs·euses, de représenter notre communauté auprès de l'équipe de développement et de guider une compréhension profonde des motivations des joueurs·euses.

  • Créer du contenu écrit et visuel, en partenariat avec l'équipe de création de contenu du studio, qui soutient la stratégie globale de la communauté et des médias sociaux.

  • Développer des communications pour soutenir les événements en ligne et en personne : des tests en ligne aux salons professionnels.

  • Établir des KPIs autour de l'engagement et de la rétention, et démontrer le succès et le retour sur investissement des projets communautaires en surveillant le sentiment des joueurs·euses et en optimisant continuellement les performances, en rapportant régulièrement ces informations pour aider à soutenir notre objectif d'être une équipe de développement créative et informée sur les données chez Haven.

  

Qualifications minimales

  •  Plus de 5 ans d'expérience dans le développement de communautés et dans la création et l'exécution de stratégies d'engagement des joueurs·euses. 

  • Expérience de la création de communautés engagées sur plusieurs plateformes, dans plusieurs régions et auprès de plusieurs publics.

  • Expérience préalable de la modération des joueurs·euses et de la gestion des conversations dans un environnement numérique/en ligne.  

Qualifications souhaitées

  •  Expérience de la gestion de communautés multijoueurs·euses en ligne à l'échelle AA+.

  • Expérience de la création de ressources médiatiques numériques, y compris la diffusion en direct et l'hébergement.

  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.

Haven joined the PlayStation Studios family as the first Sony game development team in Canada in 2022.

We have made amazing progress in a short time thanks to our talented, passionate team and their excellent contributions. Our first game, Fairgames, is in development for PlayStation and PC. Fairgames is a competitive multiplayer action heist with a vision to build a systemic and evolving world focused on freedom, thrill and playfulness that will entertain and engage players for years to come. 

Position – Community Manager

We are looking for an experienced Community Manager who will take on the challenge to help grow the profile of Haven, create and expand the digital presence of Fairgames, represent Fairgames online, and engage directly with our players. You will support business and marketing objectives by being the link between our community of players and our internal development team - managing assets, communication channels and building a positive, vibrant, and inclusive experience in and out of our game, with the goal to retain and engage our players. You are a creative problem solver and are resourceful in ensuring you achieve your objectives.

Reporting

The Community Manager will report to the Player Experience Lead.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • In collaboration with the Player Experience and Marketing teams, build and execute a holistic community engagement strategy that supports and aligns to our marketing efforts, grows a welcoming and inclusive community, and delivers player centric communications.

  • Maintain a dialogue with our players, actively participating in discussions in ways that reflect our studio values of kindness, adaptability and courage that make space for creative excellence.

  • Coordinate with the development team to establish and  action player feedback loops with the goal of bringing us closer to our players, representing our community to the dev team, and guiding a  deep understanding of player motivations.

  • Create written and visual content, in partnership with the Studio Content Creation team, that aids in delivery of the overall community and social media strategy.

  • Develop communications to support events both online and in-person, to include activations such as live streams, online tests, and trade shows.

  • Establish KPIs around engagement and retention, and demonstrate the success and ROI of community projects by monitoring player sentiment and continuously optimizing performance, reporting on these insights regularly to help support our goal to be a creative led and data informed development team at Haven.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing communities, and creating and executing player engagement strategies.

  • Experience building engaged communities across multiple platforms, regions, and audiences.

  • Previous experience with player moderation and conversation management in a digital/online environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Community Management for multiplayer online communities at a AA+ scale.

  • Experience in digital media asset creation, including live streaming and hosting.

  • Fluent in French and English.
