Job Description:

Position available in Warsaw, Poland or Malmö, Sweden (On-Site Hybrid)

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Senior Network Programmer to join our team and help shape the foundation of our next-generation AAA experiences on our new IP. 
 
You will drive innovation developing the multiplayer components of our engine and workflows, focusing on performance, scalability, and rapid iteration. You will collaborate with gameplay and design teams in order to push boundaries of what’s possible in online games. 

 
You’ll help us 

  • Architect and implement high performance network code solutions for client and server game logic 

  • Develop networking code to interact with backend systems and online services 

  • Partner with the engineering and design teams to build networked gameplay systems 

  • Optimize and debug game network traffic 

You’re awesome because you have 

  • 5+ years of experience in network programming or equivalent. 

  • 1+ years of experience in Linux development 

  • Proficiency in C++. 

  • Knowledge of common data structures, algorithms and game architecture patterns. 

  • Excellent debugging and performance analysis skills. 

  • Proficiency in writing testable code. 

  • Experience with gameplay networking techniques. 

  • A proven track record of contributing to one or more shipped AAA games. 

  • Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback. 

Bonus points for 

  • Experience with network security. 

  • Working with quickly changing code base. 

  • Familiarity with web protocols and APIs. 

  • Experience in other areas of video game technology. 

  • Experience with multi-platform development, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
