The Regional Operations Manager for Product Discovery & Promotion (PDP) in APAC will act as an operational thought partner for the regional leadership team. Responsibilities include monitoring operational health, identifying and solving operational challenges, cascading global best practices to local teams, and surfacing regional needs to global counterparts. This role involves managing the APAC Regional Operations team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging tech/tooling to optimize processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in large-scale project management and a deep understanding of the Netflix product experience.

Product Discovery & Promotion (PDP) sits at the heart of the Choosing experience for every Netflix member. From Metadata & Tagging, Creative Strategy & Craft, through to Production, Globalization and Launch, this team touches every title that our members see on the Netflix platform. PDP Operations drives excellence in every launch such that we can work smarter, increase efficiency and, most importantly, increase joy for our members on the Netflix platform.

The Regional Operations Manager will act as the Operations thought partner for the APAC PDP leadership team to drive operational excellence across the region (including India, Korea, Japan, South East Asia, Australia & New Zealand). You will act as a conduit between the Global PDP Ops organization and local PDP teams on global-to-local and local-to-global initiatives, by combining global operational best practices with an understanding of local market nuance. In this role, you will manage the APAC Regional Operations team and will be required to collaborate closely with your global counterparts. 

This role requires deep operational expertise, a passion for understanding the Netflix product experience and prior people management experience.

This role can be based in Singapore or Mumbai and will report to the Senior Manager of Regional Operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Regional Operational Health: Monitor/advance APAC’s operational health and drive market engagement around operational metrics

  • Problem Solving: Identify and prioritize local operational opportunities/challenges for the team to action

  • Regional Operational Expertise: Cascade global operational updates and best practices to local teams, proactively leading through change

  • Global Connection: Surface regional nuances to Ops counterparts globally to ensure that global programs adequately account for regional needs

  • Tech / Tooling: Build a consolidated perspective on in-region tooling/tech requirements and any tradeoffs that may need to be made

  • Leadership: Lead the APAC Regional Operations team and establish iterative cycles of learning across the team globally 

  • Collaboration: Partner with peers and cross-functional teams locally and globally to drive/amplify project success
     

The ideal candidate has:

  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on developing talent (10+ years)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • Experience with driving successful large-scale projects/initiatives 

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to review, streamline, and prioritize team efforts in line with the expected impact

  • A strong track record of being a collaborative thought partner and trusted resource for key stakeholders across product and tech

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and present to diverse global audiences

  • English proficiency (mandatory); knowledge of an additional APAC language (advantageous)
