Job Description
Buckman is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Engineer to focus on bringing application excellence to customers in the tissue industry. You will be responsible for executing trials on-site, providing critical coverage to ensure success, and managing the entire lifecycle of the trial. As a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert, you will assist in upskilling frontline sales and delivering distinctive technical expertise on complex challenges. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of experience as a solutions engineer with a strong understanding of the tissue industry. You will need to be able to create big-picture solutions, present ideas clearly, and demonstrate attention to detail. Sales experience is an advantage.

Role summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Solution Engineer for focusing on bringing application excellence to customers in the form of trial execution and advanced attrition prevention.
Main responsibilities:
- Execute trials on-site and provide critical coverage required to make the trials successful
- Management of lifecycle of the trial from Setting up trials for success, securing the right equipment, adherence to evaluation plan workshop/transition workshop, accumulation of trial data, value confirmation with the customer and conversion
- Must been seen as and serve as a trusted advisor/ Subject Matter Expert and assist in the upskilling of frontline sales
- Deliver distinctive technical expertise on complex, out-of-the-ordinary challenges & critical applications to mitigate attrition risk
- Maintain expert knowledge of Buckman’s product portfolio, including new products coming out of the R&D pipeline
- Splits time between running trials and bringing expertise to existing accounts (including attrition prevention)
- Support health checks with the customers
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor or Master in Engineering or Chemistry
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a solutions engineer
- Knowledge of the industry
- Ability to create big-picture solutions
- Ability to present ideas in a clean, user-friendly way
- Attention to detail
- Sales experience - advantage
